Audit & Assurance

An independent review gives the people who rely on your numbers — owners, banks, partners and regulators — a defensible basis for that reliance. PQS agrees the engagement scope in writing up front and delivers findings you can act on, not generic reservations.

What we do

  • Audit of financial statements and accounts within the agreed engagement scope.
  • Review of the document cycle and internal controls, identifying weak points.
  • Substantive testing of balances and transactions based on materiality.
  • Review of compliance with the company's approved financial policies and procedures.
  • Audit report, professional findings and management letter.
  • Limited review or agreed-upon procedures engagements where appropriate.

Who this is for

  • Companies that require an annual audit of their financial statements.
  • Owners or partners seeking an independent view of the company's position.
  • Businesses approaching bank financing or admitting a new partner.
  • Management teams that want control weaknesses found before they become losses.

How we work

  1. 1

Engagement type, scope, period and deliverables agreed in writing.

  2. 2

    Plan

Understand the business, assess risk, set materiality and design testing.

  3. 3

    Execute

Perform procedures, gather and document audit evidence.

  4. 4

    Report

Discuss findings with management, then issue the report and deliverables.

Frequently asked questions

What is the difference between an audit and a limited review?

A full audit applies broader procedures and evidence and concludes with a higher level of assurance. A limited review is narrower in both scope and procedures. We explain the difference and the expected deliverables before engagement.

How long does an audit take?

It depends on the size of the business, the quality of the books and document readiness. We give an indicative timeline after an initial review.

Does an audit find every error?

An audit is performed on a sample and materiality basis within an agreed scope. It is not a guarantee that every error or irregularity will be detected, and the limits of the engagement are stated explicitly in the engagement letter.
